I have always wanted to be a photographer. As a teenager I was an avid member of our high school DOKA club. Later in life I got my medical degree and became a gastroenterologist & photographer. You could say I took Elliott Erwitt's, a famous MAGNUM photographer, advice to heart when he was asked for advice for people starting out in the business he replied "Do it as a hobby, maybe you will succeed but don't do it for a living". Photography is a counterpoint to my medical practice but at the same time they have so much in common: it takes an observant eye & true passion for my subjects, only then extraordinary results will follow.
